First what type of whiskey are we talking about Irish, Scotch, Rye,Canadian, Bourbon, straight, blended, highland, lowland, Kentucky, a liquor (Yukon Jack),Tennessee, 8 year old, 12 year , 16 year, 18 year---- you could drink a different whiskey everyday for a year and still have untried ones !. The cheap stuff like Jack Dannel's or Seagram's seven are coke and seven-up (jack and coke) (seven & seven), Royal Crown can be mixed with Red Bull, Then there are whiskey sours, manhattans, Your high end should never be mixed and only drank with with water or ice if not neat!. If your just drinking because you want to get drunk and hide the taste--mix with anything you like, in 30 min your not going to care what it taste like !. If you like whiskey then just water/and or ice!. because you would never have your gold medals- bronzed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I mix darks with darks and clears with clears!. For example, If I'm having Vodka, I'll use Sprite or 7UP to mix with it!. If I'm having whiskey, I usually use Dr!. Pepper or Coke!. Though this was purely for the purpose of getting drunk!.

I like whisky and tonic too, but its not very normal!.
