It's pretty unusual for only your body to feel the physical pain of drinking, and not even heavy drinking, just (as you said) a glass of wine at most!. Alcohol, by its very nature, numbs your nerves (drunken boxing) and relaxes your muscles (more severe injuries in car accidents)!.

It might just be something as simple as your body chemistry, instead of feeling the intoxication in your head, you feel it in your body!. Some peoples' constitutions just aren't built for booze!. That's not quite the same as an allergic reaction, more like a chemical imbalance!. Sulfites can do almost as much harm as good to the human body depending on the person (obvious example, sulfites can do your heart a world of good, but if you're with child, the little one's ticker is as flimsy as a cherry with the pit yanked out by the stem)!.

I would say don't worry if it's just a few aches and pains (like you said, you rarely drink, your body may just not be used to it), but if you're getting a reaction that consistent regardless of what kinds of liquors you drink, it may be a sign to stick with sodas!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

you might be suffering from dehydration!. since your body is mostly made of water and alcohol is a type dehydrate, you might be just lacking water!. Try drinking plenty of water before and a little bit after!. It might work Www@FoodAQ@Com

Your body is telling you to stay away, listen the body knows best!.

If you must try some organic wine!. Who knows
