Like, if I decide to make my own wine, I have an awesome divination (dandelion) wine recipe I want to make, but I don't know what to put in it!.

Are there any other good recipes I can use!? I prefer to make something organic!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I recently started making wine!. There are a lot of ways, but I like to keep it simple!. I did purchase a couple items!. I got an airlock and a hydrometer!. The air lock has a stopper, this will allow gas out but nothing in!. You can replace the airlock with a plastic bag by securing it to top of jug with rubber band!. This is important to keep from contaminating the wine!. The hydrometer (i think that's what it's called) measures the alcohol content (takes a little math, but it works)!. It measures the density of the liquid before and after fermentation!. Alcohol is lighter than sugar!. So, as sugar turns to alcohol, the liquid gets lighter!.

You will need fresh fruit or fruit juice, sugar, yeast, sanitizer, above mentioned tools, and a jug!.

All utensils and jugs should be sanitized either by boiling (preferred) or sanitizer solution!.

Juice the fruit and stain juice into jug!.
Add sugar (I do 4 cups to my gallon jug, but this is based on quantity and preference!. I prefer a sweeter wine) and stir!. Be sure there is adequate space between liquid level and top of container because the wine will foam and expand while fermenting!.
In separate container, put warm water in small bowl, and add one packet of yeast!. Let sit until it is activated (5 min!. or so)!. Do not beat or stir hard because this will kill the yeast!.
Stir juice once more thoroughly mixing sugar and juice!. Once settled, add yeast slowly!. Do Not stir!. Swirl slightly!.
Place stopper and airlock on jug and let sit in cool, dark corner!. You can get a brown paper bag and put over jug!.
Check periodically!. Fermentation should begin in a few hours and you will see small particles and bubbles moving from bottom of jug to top of jug and from top of jug to bottom of jug!. You will also eventually hear the air lock rattle!. If you have a plastic bag secured to top instead of air lock, then you will see that begin to balloon!.
After about a week, remove top the fermentation slows up!. You can strain the liquid now, and taste test if you like!. Then, sterilize everything again and re-bottle and allow to continue fermenting!. You can let this go on for weeks, months!. If you like your wine aged, try it in 6 months!. I can never wait that long and before week two, we have poured and drank it all!.

Tip: when makeing sweet wine, it will go down like cool aid!.!.!. be careful!.!.!. this can make you intoxicated very quickly!. Drink in moderation, never drive while intoxicated!. Just do this at home and have fun!.

Tip: To measure alcohol content!. Take density measurement before adding yeast, and then at first week when fermentation slows to almost a halt!. Use math formula to figure alcohol content by comparing both readings!.

Have fun and good luck!

I have made peach wine, pomemgrante apple wine, strawberry apple wine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't know if it can be called organic or not!.

There's an excellent book by Berry, First Steps in Wine Making!. That will hand-hold you through the entire process!. Be sure to include only the yellow ray-flowers (the things that look like petals); any bit of green will spoil the wine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
