Question: If the colder something gets, the less tastes it has, why do we drink our beer ice cold!?
Answers:
When something is ice cold, it numbs your taste buds, so you can't really taste it!.

The mass produced beers (Bud/Coors/Miller) are meant to be drank ice cold because they taste awful!. Reals beers are meant to be drank at cellar temperatures (about 55 degrees); this allows you to actually taste the different malts and hops used in the brewing!.

Most people, here, don't know this because they drink only the cheap beers!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Because Americans don't know the meaning of the word beer!.

I prefer my beer to be just a tad below room temp!. This may also be because I drink fast, and it hurts my throat when I drink a beer that is too cold!.

If you're drinking a light beer, the warmer it gets, the more watery it tastes!. This amazes me!. I'm sure you'll get a better answer!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Keep in mind that beer goes through a fermentation process that tastes bitter if it is exposed to too much sunlight or if it is served warmer than 45 degrees!.

Chilling beer maintains the fresh taste of beer and it lasts longer!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you put ice in drinks then they lose their flavor because they get diluted, but if you refrigerate or freeze beer it doesn't get diluted and it doesn't lose any flavor!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
