Question: What type of wine goes with cheese!?
I got someone a cheese and crackers tray with Brie, Dubliner cheddar and Colby Longhorn for Christmas!. I would like to give them wine with it!. What kind of wine goes well with cheese!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
With those cheeses a crisp white wine would be served!. Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon BlancWww@FoodAQ@Com

The selection of the wine is for the most part left up to the taste of the persons eating the cheese!. To be perfectly safe, give a bottle of red merlot and a bottle of white chardonnay!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i would probably go with a sligtly dry white wine!.

maybe a Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay

i wouldn't go with a sweeter one, like a Gewürztraminer or Riesling!.!.!. the sweetness might overpower the cheese!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

subtle fruit of Row 11 Pinot Noir would be great to counter the sharpness of the brie!. Please understand that white foods dont always go with white wines!. rookie MistakeWww@FoodAQ@Com
