Good wine is whatever tastes good to you!. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a wine snob!. =P

If you didn't like red wine when you tried it years ago, I would suggest easing yourself into red wine with a Lambrusco!. It's usually a little sweeter and less bitter than most other reds!. also, it has some effervescence similar to champagne (but not as nearly as much), so that builds upon what you already know you like!.

You could always go to a wine bar to sample different wines!. Usually the staff is very knowledgeable and will help you find something you like!. But, at $2-$7 per tasting, this can get expensive fast!. (Plus, it can be a little intimidating) So, I suggest having a wine tasting party!. Invite friends over and ask them each to bring a bottle of wine they enjoy to share with everyone (nothing too expensive)!. This is a great way to sample a variety of wine without having to buy a whole bottle of something you might hate!. Make sure to take notes!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm pretty much a wino but it's helps with you being specific!. I'm guessing you want a smooth red wine!. Well, here goes!.!.!. Smooth with red is relative!. Smooth would imply a very well aged wine and that can be expensive!. A Merlot is the watered down variety of wine so that might be smooth/yet not so expensive wine!. Bitter is a little different from smooth but another might be a Bordeaux!. French wines have less tannins then most others!. So, I would say one of those two are your best bet with red wines otherwise you dealing with too much complexity!. That is not bad, just not as smooth and more bitter maybe!.

Italian or maybe Chilean wine are mellow in nature!. As a matter of fact my family just switched to Chilean wines!. They are not so expensive and are mellow with the tannins I would guess!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I love Moscato wines!. They are sweet, bubbly like champange (depending on the brand you get) and are white!. My favorite moscato wine is Bricco Riella Moscato D'Asti!.

If you want to try a red wine that's cheap, but no bitter go to Wal-Mart and buy a St!. James, green label!. It's not bad!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
