Favorite Champagne? What would go great with it?!

Question: Favorite Champagne!? What would go great with it!?
I've been having rough days lately, with all the peer pressure, boys, school with college right around the corner!. And for people my age, the best comfort food is Chocolate, well!.!. that doesn't work on me!. I really want to try Champagne with Strawberries with a little chocolate dip!. (I've read Kate Hudson does that when she has a broken heart)

What brand of Champagne would be good for mending broken hearts!? What would go great with it!?

P!.S!. My dad and I buy Caviar and eat it while watching NFL, I think he'll be fine with me buying my own Champagne!.

P!.P!.S!. Price doesn't really matter, but I'd be ok if it was cheap since I'm trying to budgetWww@FoodAQ@Com

My personal favorite champagne that is not insanely priced would be Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label and that will run you around $40!. If you want something a step up from that, I would say Laurent Perrier Champagne Brut or Laurent Perrier Champagne Rose' which are both around $60!. You could spend a bit more around the $100 range, but honestly the difference once you get up into that category is marginal or more about the prestige!.

Both of the Brut's will go great with sweets, as they have a citrus taste (the Veuve more so then then Laurent)!.

The Rose will bit a tad bit more dry, so the Caviar will go better with that!.

But to be honest all of them will work with both caviar and the sweets, just make sure you don't mixed the food up and clear your palette before switching foods!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Poor you, sounds like it sucks!
Champagne and strawberries is lush, the fruits bring out the flavour of the champagne :-)
If you can get Cava (Spanish sparkling wine) then that's pretty affordable!. True champagne, as you probably know, is from France or the Champagne region!.
Scout around the shops or the off licences, you should be able to find some for about $15!.
It usually starts around £10 in the UK!.
Enjoy and I hope it works :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I second the Widow (Veuve) Clicquot!. also, look for "non champagne" champagnes - otherwise known as, for example, sparkling (in the US) or spumante (Italy)!.

Inexpensive but great:
