Can an alcoholic drink in moderation?!

Question: Can an alcoholic drink in moderation!?
Answers:
It highly depends on the person!.

AA takes the position that once someone is an alcoholic, they can never drink again because the temptation is just too great!.

For severe alcoholics there is also medical damage done to the liver and pancreas that could make drinking fatal!.

I have known two recovering alcoholics that began drinking again after years of sobriety!. Both set extremely strong rules of behavior on themselves!.

One allows himself a total of 1 beverage a day and 2 on saturday (should he choose to have one)

The other allows himself to drink on Saturdays and holidays only and then has set a limit of three drinks!.

Both of these people have maintained this for years, but they are the exception not the rule!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

For an alcoholic one is too many!. Once and alcoholic has one it usually turns into 12!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
