Wine help. how do i bring gravity down.?!
i'm making a batch for the first time!. right after i threw the yeast in i took a gravity reading and it read about 1!.100!. how can i get it to around 1!.090!? do i add sugar or water or juice!? i used about 12 frozen fruit concentrate cans, 7-8 lbs!. of sugar and brought the water level to a little over 5 gal!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

if you mean down as form 1!.100 to 10!.20 etc, to make the wine stornger then put in more sugar, but if oyu wan tit weaker add more water!.

Be patient!. As the yeast converts the sugars to alcohol, the specific gravity will drop!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
