Is everything you make with a shaker...?!
called a martini!? Or can anything pretty much be made with a shaker!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
traditionally martinis are either gin or vodka and vermouth
its not recommended to use a shaker with gin, as they say it can "bruise" the gin and make it bitter, and gin being herbally flavored, isn't as good at colder temperatures!.
vodka martinis are shaken most of the time, since you usually want it as cold as possible, and vodka doesn't get "bruised"
as for other drinks, many are called martini which aren't!.!.!. thinks like apple martini, strawberry martini etc!. these aren't true martinis!.!.!. they are just served in a cocktail glass similar to a martini!. I don't consider these true, and usually to differentiate with true martinis, i just call them 'tinisWww@FoodAQ@Com
