Why are people like this about drinking...?!
I was talking to someone about beer!. I know that it has effects, both positive and negative, on people, and I do like beer!. However, I think that he's placing too much of an emphasis on it!. We're both 19!.
Is it nice to chill out with people and enjoy a beer!? Sure!. However, I think there are more critical things in life to be aware of than beer such as family, relationships, mortgages, safety, education, etc!. What I'm trying to say that there's a lot more things to be of concern in life than alcoholic beverages!.
I talk to people I know that are regular drinkers and bartenders who say that drinking and beer is no big deal!. The always tell me that there are more things in life such as having kids!.

you sound mature for your age, the sooner you realize this the better!. most people this age have this view because they are only interested in getting F**Ked up!. i know that was my way of thinking until i got a girlfriend i actually cared about, that later became my wife!. i do enjoy a cold beer but if i had to choose between drinking beer or spending time with the family, the family would always win!. kudos to you for figuring it out before the curve!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
