Bartending Questions?!
I am almost out of highschool(a few more months) and I would like to be a bartender!. I bought a book with a bunch of cocktail recipies in it that I'm trying to memorize!. Do you guys have any tips on what else I could do!? Oh, and do you have to be 21 to tend bar!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am afraid that everyone is correct!. You must be 21 to be a bartender, however, there are many bartender school that will get you a bartender certification and then they will look for a job placement!.!. Meanwhile, You can get into the business, by getting a job as waitress, hostess or food runner!. That will give you a clear perception on what you are getting intoWww@FoodAQ@Com
Most places won't hire bartenders without experience!. You should get a job as a hostess, waitress or barback and learn all you can to get promoted to bartender!. Some states let you be a bartender at 18 but even when that is legal most bars like their bartenders to be 21 anyway!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Work out so you look good in a sleeveless t-shirt!. Better looking female bartenders get better tips!. But you do have to be 21!. You can hostess in a restaurant until then!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Many states require you to be 21 to tend bar, others, 18!.
