I have a stein but I don't have the top does it hurt the value?!


Question: I have a stein but I don't have the top does it hurt the value!?
I just bought an old stein from a small antique store but it didn't have the top!. I like it cause of the hunting scene it had on it!.
What I wanted to know is if a stein doesn't have a top does that bring down the value!? Where can i find a top for my stein does it have to be a specific one!? ThxWww@FoodAQ@Com

Yes it does hurt the value!.

Who is the maker!?

You can have one reattached that will give it some restored value but it will never be worth the value of the untarnished state!.

All steins have tops/lids!. If it never had one then it was never a stein!. Perhaps a mug/tankard/beaker Etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It didn't necessarily come with a top!. Perhaps it never had one!.
