What is wine supposed to taste like?!

Question: What is wine supposed to taste like!?
It just tastes sour to me!. When you read of it in books and see wine being used in movies, they talk of texture, dryness and all that!. I don't understand all that, so I want to know how it's supposed to feel in the mouth!. Is it never sweeter!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have had some really sweet wines before!. If you want to try a sweet wine, may I suggest getting something that's labeled "dessert wine"!? They are usually quite a bit sweeter than any dry wines!. You could also try wines made from muscat grapes--like liquid candy!.Finally, if you're willing to spend more, ice wine is usually pretty sweet, as well!. It's made from grapes after the first frost and since the wine is only made at this specific time, it's a pricier spirit!.

I myself don't care for very dry wines and I almost can't stand reds (I think they taste like vinegar)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Wine is an acquired taste!. Why don't you start with a blush wine, like a Zinfandel!. Its nice and sweet!. My favorite is Ernest and Julio Gallo white Zinfandel!.!.!.you are guaranteed to enjoy that! You then can try a white wine, something like a Chardonnay!.!.!.save red for the last as its usually quite dry and intense in flavor!. I never liked wine but now I love it, but I prefer the stronger reds!.
also, try visiting a vineyard if you can, they can be quite informative and usually have wine tasting for free!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would have to disagree with you!. The wine I have is sweet, red, full bodied wine!. I usually don't mix it with other drinks, I just drink it as is for the most part, but I do love Sangria too!.
The only food preps that I added wine with was Beef Burgundy, which was quite tasty!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

SOME TASTE DRYNESS SWEETER AND SOUR!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
