Obviously chilled!. Hold a cloth in your right hand, over the cork, bottle in your left hand!. About a 40 degree angle away from yourself and others!. Twist the bottle, not the cork!. As twisting the bottle, pull the cork gently within the cloth!. This will allow the cork to come out, without spilling the wine, doesn't pop off and hurt anyone, and you don't lose your cork (which in certain circumstances people keep, like your first bottle of wine when married)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The most professional way to open Champagne is to undo the wire cage but leave the cage around the cork, this gives you a good grip on the cork!. You will notice that at the bottom of the bottle there should be a dip, hold the bottle by inserting your thumb in the dip and holding the bottom of the bottle with your four fingers!. Tilt the bottle to around 40% and twist the cork and bottle similtaneously (in opposite directions)!.
