What are the Laws on Drinking Alcohol in Texas?!

Question: What are the Laws on Drinking Alcohol in Texas!?
Is it illegal, in the state of Texas, to drink at 18 if your spouse/husband is 21 or older!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
This is actually perfectly legal under certain circumstances!. The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code provides that:

"A person may purchase an alcoholic beverage for or give an alcoholic beverage to a minor if he is the minor's adult parent, guardian, or spouse, or an adult in whose custody the minor has been committed by a court, and he is visibly present when the minor possesses or consumes the alcoholic beverage!."

Paraphrased, your spouse can legally provide alcohol for you to drink as long as he's present when it's in your possession or when you're drinking it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You have to both be 21!. Period!. No one is supposed to buy minors (in Texas you are a minor for alcohol and gambling under 21) alcohol!. You can buy tobacco and lottery tickets @ 18 in Texas!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
