Should they change the legal age of alcohol consumption?!

Question: Should they change the legal age of alcohol consumption!?
How old do you think people should be before they are LEGALLY allowed to drink!? How old is the age where you are!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
I'm 43 years old and I think for hard liquor the age should probably be 18 to purchase it but no age limit to consume it!. For all other alcoholic beverages 12 to purchase and no age limit to consume it!.

Those countries that don't have the facist alcohol laws don't have any of the youth drinking issues of those that do!. Making alcohol a right of passage is and always has been a bad idea!. Add to that if someone isn't old enough to drink they shouldn't be old enough to make any decisions!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Here in America it's 21 !.!. this argument that those in the military should be able to drink while younger than that is absolutely horseshitt!.
While not in favour of war itself, I respect the decision of those who CHOOSE to VOLUNTEER in the army!.
But if anything, knowing what they go through (an uncle of mine served in Viet Nam and a cousin was among the American fatalities during the Battan Death March in World War 2) !.!.
Where was I !.!. yeah I don't think they should have earlier access to it!. The toll of war is enough for some to go a little crazy !.!. if they go to the lines drunk they're not doing the security of America any good now are they!?
Bottom line, if anything else, the drinking age here in America should be INCREASED, though I am the first to admit that 21 does not always mean responsible drinker!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Here in the U!.S!. it is 21!. I think it should be lowered to 18, not 16 that is way too young!. At 18 you can vote, go into the military and fight wars, you are considered a legal adult who can enter into binding contracts, so if you are an adult I feel you should be able to buy alcohol!. Either lower the drinking age or up the age when one is an adult and can enter into binding contracts and join the military and vote etc!. My point is 18 is old enough for every thing else so why not drinking!? If you can be in a porn movie at 18 then why not drink!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is completely unreasonable to have expectations for young men and women to face the travesty of a war, and yet be told they are to0 young to drink!.

If these brave soldiers can go off to be emotionally scarred, physically injured (sometimes with permanent damage), and in some cases die; they should also enjoy each and every liberty that they are placing themselves in danger to protect!.

Any of you who disagree with my assessment should do some serious soul searching and tell me why anyone should place themselves at risk for you to enjoy freedoms that they do not!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

The current age, (21) IMO is a great age!. Drinking is nothing special and I dont know why so many people are compelled to get drunk all the time!.!.!.

At younger ages, you are not as experienced in life and may do stupid things!.!.!.!.such as drinking and driving!. I surly dont want a drunk driver on the road which is my main point to keep the law as it is!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm in the U!.S!. Drinking age=21!. I think it should be lowered to 18!. We can join the Military, die for our country, vote in powerful leaders and (in most states) serve alcohol at age 18, so why the hell not just let us drink at that age!? Everyone does it anyway already, so just lower it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They should, but wont!.!.!.

The Federal government blackmails the state governments into compliance by threatening to withhold federal funds

I think 18 is reasonableWww@FoodAQ@Com

It was 18 for me

They should be consistent with other age based items that I consider more serious like marriage, military service age !.!.!.!.etcWww@FoodAQ@Com

21 and it shouldn't be lowered!. The people underage are already proving how irresponsible they are!. Why should we make it easier on them to mess up!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's 21 here but it should be 30!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Should be 16-18 in my opinion!. People will drink underage no matter what though hahaWww@FoodAQ@Com

16Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think it should stay @ 21Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've been living in a country where you can get liquor at 14Www@FoodAQ@Com
