I think the 2nd answer has a lot to do with why people assume they're only buzzed!. Hearing that drunks end up in jail, and encounter police officers leads them to believe that UNLESS you vomit, kill someone, wreck your car, and get a prison sentence you weren't drunk!.

Fact of the matter is buzzed, tipsy, drunk and wasted are all the same!. It's to different extents, but they all have the SAME symptoms!.

For example, when you are wasted you have the spins!. It's hard to concentrate on ANYTHING!. But when you are drunk, you find it gets hard to focus, but you can!. When you're buzzed/tipsy, you may have to put a little more effort into it but its not hard!. Still, its more difficult than when sober, when its involuntary!. also, when you're wasted you're pretty numb and can get hit and not feel it (or more likely, bump into a wall or some other inanimate object)!. But when you're buzzed, your face is numb!. It's just not as numb and its a smaller area that is numb!.

So, really, buzzed is just "very little bit drunk", tipsy is "drunk, but functional", drunk and wasted are obvious!.

The trouble is that to those who do not drink, they find it utterly incomprehensible that one can drink and not end up wasted!. To them, the logical end of a night of drinking is a DUI, a fine, a jail sentence, a murder investigation, sexual diseases and rampant vomitting!. Unfortunately, this is not how it works!. There are progressions and stages!. And remember than the vast majority, some 90%, of drinkers are not alcoholics or binge drinkers!. There is nothing wrong with enjoying a beer or glass of wine -- even daily!.

I have alluded to some methods to test for drunkeness above, but:
If you can't feel your face, you're drunk; numb lips only is buzzed!.
If you bump into things that don't move, you're drunk!.
If you can't focus on something that is typically easy (inanimate objects again), then you're drunk!.
If you fall down, you're wasted

If you can't tell, ask a friend!. Or try reading!. If you find that you can't, you're drunk!. If can but only if you close one eye, sit really close, and squint with the other!.!.!. well, you're wasted!.

The main problem is that a LOT of people assume being drunk is totally different that being drunk!. Sorry, its not!. It's just a really strong buzz!. Wasted is a whole different ballgame, though!. Trust me, don't get wasted -- it is absolutely no fun!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you'll be able to tell i drunk for along time and thought that i was actually drunk or closer wasted than i actually was!. When you get to the stage where your wasted you basically have no control over your mind or very little and as fun as it can be, it can lead to really bad things happening if your not watched out for!. Being drunk is quite a bit different its like having a really strong buzz you can feel and realize you are drunk by losing some control over your body and feeling!. You have to realize though sometimes alcohol can take a while to hit you so take it somewhat slow or you could end up from going from a buzz to wasted in no time and thats no fun!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you get to a stage where you can`t stand up, you start too chuck up , then you lose consciousness , and if you are lucky a nice police-man takes you to the drunk tank and tucks you in on a nice concrete floor , with all the other spewy drunks ,sure is funWww@FoodAQ@Com

try saying the alphabet backwards!.!.!.lol!Www@FoodAQ@Com
