Rum&Coke - Premixed or Home-made?!

Question: Rum&Coke - Premixed or Home-made!?
Which is better, buying pre-mixed rum and coke in a can, or buying coke and rum separately and mixing them together yourself!? What is the best rum to use, and how much of each!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
You've gotta mix your own, then you get it just the way you like it!.

And with rum, you can still be a little cheap and still get good drinks because it mixes well even if the quality isn't great!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you CAN'T buy premixed Rum & Coke

Coca Cola doesn't licence their cola to be premixed with anything they don't produce themselves, and they don't produce alcoholic beverages

if you mean the more general rum & cola, i have never seen it premixed

I doubt it actually says Rum & Coke on the premixed can, since the Coke Trademark is owned by Coca-Cola, and they would fight any company with lawsuits!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I prefer to mix it myself!. With a good rum rum it's ok, but I like it better with bourbon!.
The biggest advantages of mixing it myself: I can pick the coke, liquor, and portions!.
Some might say it's a waste of a good spirit, but it's great with Johnny Walker black!.

ps!. Try it with Dr Pepper rather than Coke =)Www@FoodAQ@Com

my two centsWww@FoodAQ@Com

I would rather mix my own liquor and soda, then I know what is in the glass!.!.MYERS rum is good too!.!. I bought a bottle of cheap rum and you can't tell the difference, it's all liquor and the results are all the same!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pre-mixed sucks! Make your own so you can strengthen it to what you want!. Bacardi has a lot of different flavors to choose from and is very good!. Some specialty rums are better, but more expensive!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would say buying them separately and mixing them yourself!. I think that the best rum to use is Captain Morgan, and the amount all depends on your personal preference!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

That's called a Cuba Libre and the best rum is gold star Bacardi dark rum or!.!.!. you can use Captain Morgan!.!. either will get you plastered!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well in my opinion home made is better!. about half and half will do but it really depends on your taste!. the kind of rum also would depend on your own taste as wellWww@FoodAQ@Com

i never knew there were pre-mixed ones!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
