Does a flavored rum like Malibu need refrigeration after opening?!
also, is an open bottle or either red or white wine ok for any amount of time unrefrigerated!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
Malibu IS NOT A RUM, it is a flavored liqueur that was made with rum!. Rum has to be a certain percentage (37% generally but varies on which country it originates from) Malibu is 21%!. It does not need to be refrigerated and can be kept open for months and years!. the only liqueur/spirits that need refrigerating are ones that contain cream or egg like baileys or advocaat!.
White wine should be refrigerated and consumed within 3/4 days and red wine should not be refrigerated and consumed within 3/4 days!.
Hope this helps!Www@FoodAQ@Com

the rum is ok unrefrigerated after opening!.
wine though, once opened can go bad
but
a good cheap way to make the opened wine last loger is if you have empty plastic bottles(like water bottles) pour the left over wine in these bottles then squeeze the bottles til the wine is at the top then put the lid on!. you can probably keep it good that way unrefrigerated for about a week, if you put the bottles in the refrigerator it will probably taste good for about two weeks!.
side note
you don't have to refrigerate boxed wines, because the bladder they're in keeps them from being exposed to air, boxes however have expiration dates(you're not going to find a vintage box) you can't hang on to it for years and years like you can a glass bottle!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no, malibu can be left at room temperature on your counter and served over ice with whatever fruit juice you'd like!.
white wine can be refrigerated but should be taken out and put on the counter 20 minutes prior to serving!.
red wine can is the same, but should be taken out almost 40 minutes prior to serving!.
either can be left on the counter, but you should probably finish it up within four or five days of opening it!.
hope this helped!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You don't need to refrigerate rum after opening, flavored or not!.
White wine should be chilled before and after opening!. Red wine will last about a week once opened!. After that, it starts to taste bad!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
