Question: Bottling my India Pale Ale on April 05/2009, how long will it last before it spoils!? Ideal storage Conditions!?
Answers:
Depends on the amount of hops used!. IPA's were originally made because when the English would ship beer to India it would go bad on the 6 month boat trip so they found that hops acts as a preservative so the more you add the longer it will last (thus the term India Pale Ale)!. I've seen people keep them for over a year as long as there is no heat or drastic temperature change, no or little light and it stays sealed or pressurized!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
