Do Restaurants Deliver Alcohol?!

Question: Do Restaurants Deliver Alcohol!?
A couple of days ago I decided to order Japanese food to be delivered and I asked for a bottle of sake with my order!.

The man on the phone said "sorry, we don't deliver alcohol" so i said ok and went with the order!.

Do most restaurants not deliver alcohol (re: laws) or is it something the business decided to do/not do!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Restaurants have an on premise type license, which means that what is purchased there has to be consumed "on premise!." It is , however ok to take an unfinished bottle of wine away with you as long as it has been recorked !. Package stores or liquor stores can make deliveries!. In some states, like North Dakota, they have drive up windows where you can purchase alcohol on the go!. Different states have different laws regarding alcohol and drinking!. You can carry a drink from casino to casino in Nevada, but not in California!. This occurs at Lake Tahoe where the state line runs through the lake and the casinos are on the Nevada side!. In Washington State, a person cannot carry a drink from the bar to a table, the server must do it!. These are called blue laws and vary from state to state!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It depends on where you live and the laws!. I used to live in a college town and the pizza/sub restaurant there would deliver beer and wine!. You have to be ready to show your ID when they get there!Www@FoodAQ@Com

It depends on if the restaurant has a license to sell alcohol to take away, if not they can't deliver it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

restaurants can't deliver alcohol, you must go to the package store and buy itWww@FoodAQ@Com

I have seen chinese restaurants do it in Maryland!. BUT you have to show ID when they get to the door!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
