In blind taste tests NOBODY could tell the difference. In modern years the coating within the can is inert, like glass. Perhaps before the coating there was a difference but not since!

It really doesn't matter. If you like beer from a bottle, drink from the bottle. If you like beer from a can, drink from the can. Who cares what other people's opinions are when it comes to something that should be for your enjoyment.
It really matters on the person who is consuming it, each person has their own preference! I prefer bottles myself!
