will i every acquire a taste for beer ?!

Question: Will i every acquire a taste for beer ?
Im 21 and I HATE the taste of beer. Ive tried a few types (budlight, millerlight, busch lite, budlight lime) and havent enjoyed any of them in anyway Unless i was already drunk and it goes down like water. As a kid i never drank soda because i hated the carbonation and still do but the carbonation in beer isnt the worst part that i dislike. I can drink hard alchohol like mixed drinks but i find that too needy at times when everybody's just drinkin some beers casually. Will i ever acquire a taste for beer ? and what may be some good tasting beers recommended to start off with. (please dont say anything "lite" ive pretty much tried all the popular brands)

There's really no rule that says you have to like beer, and you're only 21, so don't be in a hurry to turn into an alcoholic.

That said, you may find as you get older that your tastes change and that you like beer. That's pretty normal. Meantime, try some beers that actually have flavor. There are tons of them out there that fit in this category, but my domestic favorites are Leinenkugel Creamy Dark, Fireside Nut Brown and Honey Weiss. These hit the right notes of flavor without being too bitter or too boring.

And keep trying beer occasionally, through the years. You may someday find that you enjoyed that last one, and you will have joined the beer club.

Prosit!

You have been drinking only a single style of beer and of the brands sampled, only Miller Lite has any quality to it. I started out much the same way, except that I drank the standard American beers; there was no light beer then. One day, a friend, to whom I will be forever grateful, introduced me to bock. That did the trick. It has real taste, unlike the mega-brews. It doesn't have to be bock for you. You might like wheat beers, Scotch Ales, London Ales, or one of the dozens of other styles. So many beers, so little time.

I never bothered - preferred wine or spirits, sometimes cider.

It's personal choice - beer is a 'social' drink, but if you don't like it, it's up to you whether you decide to persist.

BTW, your name amused me - 'John Smiths' is a brand of bitter (beer) in the UK...

If you do not like beer do not force yourself to drink it because all of your friends do. Peer pressure is not worth drinking a beverage you do not care for. You are a smart person and knows what you like. So just do not drink it. Period.

You haven't been drinking beer. That crap is factory excuses for lager that is made for pansies and women. Drink something from Dogfish or Stone or some 211.

All of the beers you named are really, really bad beers. That might be why you don't like beer. A good beer for beginners is Samuel Adams Boston Lager.

You might eventually, if you stop drinking water with fictious info on the can / bottle.

Why would you want to aquire a taste for beer, just get a good ole pepsi cola.

If you don't like it don't drink it.

you will like it soon..

blue moon mann try it
