Why do I lose my sense of smell and taste when I drink beer or alcohol?!

Question: Why do I lose my sense of smell and taste when I drink beer or alcohol?
Why do I lose my sense of smell and taste whenever I get drunk ? After about the 3rd or 4th beer, I lose my sense of smell and taste.By the time I get to the 6th or 7th beer, I am totally not able to smell or taste things- even if I blow my nose. Also, if I am snacking on peanuts or other foods when I am drinking, I can't seem to taste or smell anything. I never had this problem before, it just started in the past year I would say. I used to be able to taste the beer and food before, so I don't know why all of a sudden I can't taste or smell anything after a few beers.

It doesn't kill cells unless you drink bottles of Russian Standard at a time. Its just you, I doubt its the liquor.
