They cannot fail to be aware .However most ignore the advice or simply do not believe the information given out is true.

Frankly - No. I doubt that most people over 18 are aware of them either. Apart from liver damage to the drinker there is also the frightening amount of damage to others brought on by the behaviour that over-indulgence engenders - just go and visit A&E on a Saturday night.
There's no end of public information adverts on TV but most people (not just under 18's) think it's not about them. It is though.

I started drinking at 15. My liver function is better than the average teetotaller according to my doctor, and I am otherwise perfectly healthy. Unless you count the cold I got a few weeks ago?

So, what this proves is that there is no magical transformation of the body when you hit 18, and excessive drinking is what damages you. This can happen at any age, and by that logic, moderation is fine.

And yes, I was aware of every risk involved. And that is still involved when choosing to become drunk. Did I care then? No.
Do I care now? No.

There's no proof it effects every under age drinker in the world. If you look at the Russian Population they have been drinking Vodka since birth and most everyday just to stay warm. They live well into there 80-90's if they have not been shot or placed in jail.

Not only don't they know, they couldn't care less.
All they care about is their next buzz, whether it be drugs or alcohol.
Do a search in this section... You'll see -- it's all "will I pass my drug test", "can XXX get you high?" and "how do I convince someone to buy me alcohol?"

ER nurse

If they are 16+ they have probably taken a health class that may have discussed
the subject, but most ppl that age just don't care or think "It won't happen to me"
