I find it more annoying to get together with anyone Saturday because my friends are idiots and can't estimate how much time it takes to do something accurately so they are always showing up late on Saturday night. If we go out Friday night and people come out straight after work I get much less agitated. In general there seem to be more people out on a Friday night. It's good or bad depending on how you look at it.
I find there are typically more people out on Saturdays and bars are more crowded. But that's cool sometimes because you can meet people more easily (if you want to). Just depends on what you're into.
I leave the weekends to the amateurs, but I think Saturday is probably less manic (lack of after-work crowd overindulging)
