Chivas Regal - a highly priced moderate quality blended Scotch whisky.
Jack Daniels - a moderately priced excellent representation of Tennessee whiskey.
You're comparing two different types of whiskey and even though I prefer bourbon I'd go with chivas regal straight for sure. If I'm drinking a mixed drink though I'd most likely use the bourbon I'm more of a makers mark guy than jack daniels.
Chivas18 is better than anything JD but I rather have Gentleman's Jack than Ch-12.
