Question: Is it true that you can't drink a lot of champagne without getting sick becasuse of the carbination?
My birthday is coming up and I want to get totally drunk off nothing but champagne. Last time I had like 4 glass and was feelin good, I'm wondering if I have like 8-10 glasses is it almost I'll get sick because of the bubbles?

It's not the carbonation and much as it is the high sugar content. Alcohol and sugar can make you sick and give a wicked hangover. Buy the very best Champagne (from France) that you can afford. Something drier like a "Brut" will have less sugar and you will be able to drink more. Whatever you do, don't imbibe other drinks as well. If you're going to drink Champagne, stick with it, going so far as even sticking with the same brand

I was going to say that champagne is pretty acidic as well as carbonated, so you may just want to have a tums handy after the third or fourth, and get some food in there as you go.



I am okay with champagne but it does give others a headache and other get sick because of the acid in it. Take it easy.
