Cans

Baxter Brewing, Pamola Xtra Pale Ale and Stowaway IPA in cans
Oskar Blues Brew Pub CO, Dale’s Pale Ale
21st Amendment Brewery in SF, Brew Free or Die IPA & “Hell or High Watermelon

Cost is going to be about 7-9 bucks a six pack.

There are so many good ones. My favorite is Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA, but most microbrews are good. Sam Adams and Sierra Nevada are the best beers you can get in any liquor store, you might have to go to a specialty store to get some of the more obscure ones. Also, you should always drink good beer out of a glass, it doesn't matter whether it's from a bottle or a can but pour it out. It helps the beer breathe and gets you the full flavor. Stuff like Bud, Miller and Coors is only really good for parties where you are trying to get drunk.

I would drink Bud, Coors, or Miller to get drunk but I prefer to drink a sharply bitter IPA to really tie-it-on. Its always fun to see if the hops or the alcohol kick my *** first. Since I have found that most IPA's are the same, except those Supertanker (DIPA and IIPA) that really do you under, just drink whatever you can get.

I personally dislike Bud Light and Millers, but really like Tecate and sometimes Coors. I would say try out Tecate. It's a crisp, thin taste which maintains an enjoyable flavor even when cooling off.

Have you ever tried Bud Light Lime? That one is the best! :)
it's like 12$ for a 12 pack.

Budweiser. Not sure of the cost though. :)

Heineken and Yuengling are my favorite big name brands. I prefer bottles, but cans are cheaper and easier to dispose of.

Guinness Stout, but only on tap.
