How many shots of vodka to get drunk?! 40%?!

Question: How many shots of vodka to get drunk?! 40%?
Hi. I've had to stop smoking weed cause I got accepted into my program. The other night I really wanted to smoke so I tried drinking instead. I've only been drunk once, off of rum.
So I drank 5 shots. And I felt kind of sick and bored. Never felt drunk. So i just quit. How much would it take?!
I drank it in shots and chased it. Hate the taste.
I'm 5'8" ~ 190lbs

Thanks!

Well every body is different and has different resistances to liquor and beer. There's also the question if you've eaten before drinking. Eating before drinking will raise your tolerance to liquor. Then comes down to the question how big were the shot glasses, and what type of Vodka was it. Each Vodka has a different percent of proof. If you do binge shots, and take 5 at one time, no doubt you would get sick. You're supposed to have intervals with shots, and drink them sparringly...not like a savage. For someone who hasn't drank often though, it can typically take up to 1-5 shots.

Not everyone is the same. It depends on how fast your liver processes the alcohol, how fast you drink it, whether you've eaten, your body weight, and how often you drink among other things.

The first time I tried vodka, I was 20 years old, 6'0", 175 lbs. and three shots got me so loopy I was hugging people I didn't even know. But I wasn't a habitual drinker.

Now, I can kill half a bottle (probably about 11 shots) and just reach that same state.

But I've seen people messed up off 2 shots before.

On average, 3 will get you pretty buzzed. Go past 5, and you're on your way to f--ked up. Go past 8 and you're either a champion drinker or looking to black out.

That's just my experience.

LOL I had six and blacked out ;D
