well you are talking about dip. Dip you put in your gums and chew you chew like gum. baseball players do both, but when they are chewing it it is chew. I usually dip either long cut Grizzly straight or fine cut wintergreen. If you are just starting, get long cut grizzly wintergreen. its the cheapest and the best. Skoal is way overpriced. pouches are for pussys, but they are good when you are active and just want to save the hassle of packing it. but it doesn't get you buzzed. i can get a tin of grizzly for 2.50 in atlanta. ask Wintergreen grizzly and usually they give you long cut, but you might want to say long cut. fine cut is hard for beginners because it is harder to pack and some people think it gives a harsh buzz, but i like fine cut because it feels cooler in your mouth than fine cut. it feels like sand. it really all comes down to opinion. so try different flavors and brands and types and youll figure out what you like best. but wintergreen grizzly is a great one to start at. try to get into straight because it causes the least damage to your gums and you will eventually like the taste. and by the way chew only comes in one flavor which is natural. tastes like pure tobacco and smells like raisins. i chew here and there, but dipping is easier and you are a lot less likely to swallow it.
Skoal is good.. Also for cheap I always liked Grizzley. Long cut is best IMHO. Pouches dont give you the buzz, it's like drinking diet soda
