Should I go to bartender school to become licenced?!


Question: Should I go to bartender school to become licenced?
I live in new jersey and was thinking of attending bartending school and was wondering if it was really necessary.

I did a hospitality course and I got my RSA through that, but you can get it online.
I would say look into maybe short courses of bartending so that you can just get a little bit of knowledge from the experts.

Ummmm no just go to the TABC website take they're online course and pay 20$ for your certification bartending school is a waist of time and money. I started off as a waitress and learned how to bartend for FREE!! I got my tabc license wen I workd at a grocery store. U can also got to youtube.com to learn how to mix drinks and the names. But if u want to go to bartending school go ahead

I've been hiring bartenders for over 15 years. Me, and others I know in the biz, intentionally won't hire bartending school grads.

Just try to get a job as a barback/waiter somewhere and work your way up.
