alcohol and doxycyline?!

Question: Alcohol and doxycyline?

i am taking doxcyline 100mg once a day and i've just taken my last dose..is it safe to drink alcohol? the instruction leaftlet says not to and i know it's not a good idea but i've been looking online and everyone seems to say you can?

Give the doxycycline about three--four hours to do its work before using alcohol.
