i have to say i prefer the lager. i'm irish and i find the stout is grand in the winter but i can't touch it otherwise. it has to be cold for me to have a murphys or a guinness.

as for bitter i had a few in Liverpool before and i had no control over the "back axle" for a queer amount of the night so its a defo no no

Modern lager and bitter beers are a bastardisation of the originals. They contain 98% water and chemicals. Find sa pub that serves, Mild Ale, Brown Ale, can't beat the taste.

Bitter or better still real ale - there are so many different ones around that have a real good satisfying taste. Try Fursty Ferret by Badger. I agree about the cider - Thatcher's do some pretty good Somerset ones.

Bitter and to the person who claimed that bitter is not what it used to be you do not not much about bitters do you!

I do not like beer but when i go to Brussels i will taste a couple of their billion beers or when i travel to Eire then i will drink Guinness with my dinner.

Lager. But bitter shandy is fab for a morning after thirst!

Larger, but i don,t really like either as much as a good somerset cider

Gonna have to tip my hat to lager.

old woods lager deep ****
