What type of white wine goes with..?!
Answers:
Table Wine pairing well with chocolate is one of the most common misconceptions in the wine world. It also pairs terribly with fruit.
The best things with chocolate are fortified wines, such as port, PX sherry, Madeira, Banyuls, etc. For fruit, a Riesling or Vidal-based ice wine is a personal favorite.
What I'm trying to say is that one singular type of wine is not going to work with both the chocolate and the strawberries, and, in fact, is going to make one of them taste truly awful.
EDIT: to the retards who gave me thumbs down, I'm a certified sommelier. It's my job to be as educated as possible about wine pairings.
I'm a sommelier.
Does it have to be white? A white zinfandel is delicious with chocolate and strawberries, but it's more of a blush. Look for Sutter Home or Barefoot...it's so delicious!
I would go for a German sweet wine
how about a Riesling ? Chateau St Michelle has a nice one.
