Is 5-6 standard drinks in a day three times a week all to the weekend enough to get cirrhosis of the liver?!

Question: Is 5-6 standard drinks in a day three times a week all to the weekend enough to get cirrhosis of the liver?
I drink about one bottle of wine which is 5 standard drinks each friday then drink a 1 liter sized bottle of pumpkin spice liquer which is about 6 standard drinks and then do another bottle of wine on sunday which is another 5 standard drinks so I have about 15-16 standard drinks in a weekend with nothing other days is this enough alcohol to get cirrhosis of the liver? P.S. I am a female and a heavyweight so what are my chances of cirrhosis at this pace?

Answers:

You are heavy weight which could clearly suggest that you may already be suffering from the fatty liver problem resulting eventually in HBP , Cholesterol or Sugar Issues. All depends upon the strength of your liver to remove toxicity...alcohol is considered toxic by the liver. Drink slowly so that the rate of elimination of toxic by the liver matches somewhat your rate of intake. this will not give u a high so easily but still would help save the liver. Add turmeric and lemon to you diet and eat as much raw green vegetables and fruits a s possible to maintain the alkalinity of the liver and have your bile flow thus remaining smooth. God Bless

this is called binge drinking. your liver is working harder over the weekend than it should at all. it is dangerous.

Too much. You've asked this over and over again. Cut back or suffer.

thats alcoholism... get that checked out.

if you keep up this pace for a while, you are totally on the right track for some liver issues in the future. if not that, then at least some diabetes because liquor has a lot of sugar, which not many people take into account.
that really is a lot of liquor and it's not good for you. i would advise you to cut down bit by bit until you kick the habit, because in my work i see so many people come in after years of drinking all types of liquor (not just wine) and are in end-stage liver failure because they have ignored the signs over the years. once the liver is gone, it's gone. and you would not be a candidate for some treatments if you keep drinking.
