Is Canadian club whiskey good or is it cheap rotgut? I think it tastes ok but it has a bad rep?!

its all a matter of opinion, if you like it, then don't let others knock it. also, try canadian crown canadian. yes, that is the name, it's cheap, and i enjoyed it. don't even know if they make it anymore.
