How do I get my liquor brand off of the ground?!

Question: How do I get my liquor brand off of the ground?
I have my own recipe for what i believe WILL be the next Nuvo. It is an original concoction with a name, bottle design, and ingredients all created. All I need is the right direction to get it up and running. I believe that I would need a grant to fund the production of the product but what else would be required?? I would like to either produce the drink myself or get the idea to a liquor company. What advice or notes or pointers would anyone have for me, as far as patten for the recipe, or what step would I have to take to get the idea to a major company in the liquor industy?? My idea is a very good one with many many people who agree with the progression of the product. Any andvice is helpful, Thank you.

such a tough question rex - you'll first need to patent it otherwise it can be stolen and that takes time and money.
You'll have to create a buzz for it so see if you can convince a local bar in your town to taste it and feature it at their club.

I hate to say this, but to launch a line of drink take a TON of money now you may want to pitch it to Segrums, Smirnoff or others to see if they can take your drink off your hands, buy it or give you a % of the profits, but frankly, that's probably a long shot. I give you high marks but you're entering a tough arena.

You may also want to try and find a mentor in your community that can help you.

It's gonna take money; a whole lot of money. You will need to hire a marketing research firm to run test market results, and if they come back positive, you may find venture capitalists interested in financing your operation. It takes more than the approval of family and friends. Good Luck.

if you can get the grant to fund it, then also try to get a huge loan for advertising. after selling it for a while, if it takes off, you won't even need a lot of advertising. just a little, because the word of mouth will help sell it if it's good enough. but advertising def. how do you think bud light is so big in the u.s? because of the ads.

It sounds like you'll need the promotional power of a liquor company. If you sell them the rights to produce your product, get a percentage of the action. You'll need a lawyer.
