No, it isn't. You should not be drinking pure alcohol.

If you want to make a strong drink with it, then mix it with punch or something. But don't take shots

Everclear and Golden Grain really have no purpose in the beverage world, when I was an underage drinker, we used to make what they call "Hooch" with pure grain, kool aid and any other junk we could toss in, good for lots of puking, blackouts and dangerous behavior, and we are all lucky that we didnt get alcohol poisoning. If you are a girl you will pass out and be possible "Lets run a train" material. Learn to drink with some sense of maturity and enjoy the tastes and nuances of the beverage. Though its more expensive and harder to find, I recommend absinthe for the underage drinker.

To answer exactly what you are asking, yes. It is not going to kill you to take 1 shot of it. It's when you start taking many shots, that is when you are risking alcohol poisoning. Also, the fact that it is nearly pure alcohol means that alcohol poisoning could sneak up on you really fast. Go ahead and try it once so you can settle your curiosity (provided you are of age) and be warned it tastes like crap.

Drinking multiple shots of something that high in alcohol will give you alcohol poisioning and could kill you.

If you are going to do it, only take literally 1 or 2 at most. When I was 16 I had 5 shots and completely blacked out, sickening, puked like crazy and it wasn't even fun! Then I didn't learn my lesson so the next summer, when I was 17 me and my friend were taking it straight out of the bottle and the same thing happened, someone almost took us to the hospital cause they couldn't get our attention and we were just puking and passed out. It was bad! SO I would say mix it to make jungle juice or something!!

I wouldn't because everclear is nasty... and if you decide to go overboard then you could give yourself alcohol poisoning (and your underage friends probably won't take you to the hospital either)
