Alcohol screening question!?!

Question: Alcohol screening question!?
I don't exactly know how they do an Alcohol screening (I'm guessing urine sample), but I was wondering how long can they detect alcohol in your body. I read online up to 5 days, I'm not so sure that's true, but has anyone had an experience where they got tested and it was more than 5 days and they failed? I have my alcohol screen this upcoming friday, and I drank saturday night, so I'm hoping I will be good!

Thank you!

Answers:

Alcohol is usually out of your system within a day (depending on how intoxicated you were), if your test is on Friday you'll be fine!

Although the alcohol leaves your system within a day or so, I have heard that these tests can detect alcohol consumed within a couple of weeks or so. This may be in the case of a heavy drinker gone dry though, I don't know. If this is for a job, and you don't drink that often, even if it does show up, it likely wouldn't be enough for them to be concerned about it.

If you're really concerned about it, you could try to do some detoxifying on your own. Like by drinking a lot of lemon water made with freshly squeezed lemons, for instance. Drinking a lot of water in general will help the body flush whatever is stored in it or whatever it is processing.

Good luck!

don't worry, alcohol doesn't stay in your system longer than 24 hours!
