Could I be allergic to alcoholic drinks? or is it something worse?!

Question: Could I be allergic to alcoholic drinks? or is it something worse?
Everytime i drink, my chest breaks out in like hives, it just gets super red, and my face gets really hot.
The past probably five times i have drank, weather it is one shot, or ten, my chest hurts, it feels like it's my heart, so I have quit drinking in case it's something serious.

I am on 2.5 milligrams of lisinopril for my high blood pressure that I have had since I was twelve.

What is causing my chest and face to get red and blotchy and my heart hurt from drinking?
please help!

Answers:

Go see a doctor about it. Ask your doctor about mixing alcohol with your medication. "Avoid drinking alcohol. It can further lower your blood pressure and may increase some of the side effects of lisinopril. Do not use salt substitutes or potassium supplements while taking lisinopril, unless your doctor has told you to."

Could be an allergy or some sort of intolerance to something in it...for example someone I know found out they were a celiac after getting really sick after drinking beer. It wouldnt hurt to get a physical and bring this up to your doctor. But in the grand scheme alcohol is on the bottom of things that suck to give up...it could be much worse...and its much better for your body to not drink it anyway

Sounds like alcohol flush reaction:
