Drinking an entire 12 pack every single day? He must be trashed 75% of all waking hours. How does he ever accomplish anything? I would imagine that would have a rather negative impact on his relationships, his health, and his ability to accomplish things... such as working to make money. So yeah, sounds like an alcoholic. Does he drink and drive too? If the answer to that is yes, then he is definitely an alcoholic.
Man! 12 beers a day? That's 84 beers a week, 360 a month, 4380 a year, and 131,400 in the remainder of his lifetime (his liver will explode by age 60).
If anybody uses intoxicating amounts of any drug, any day, it has a definite impact on a person.
I mean, I have before, I'm not judging. I'm just saying it has an impact. Whether he is dependent on it or not is up in the air, but he is definitely affected. Addicted, maybe. Affected, yes.
Also age doesn't matter too much. I mean, it affects a person's body a little differenty, but it doesn't matter much after about twenty two
No way to really know. Alcoholism is a really weird thing. It really is different for everybody. Alcoholism is a serious condition but he might be going through a rough time, be depressed or something, if he is turning to alcohol for that then yes he is an alcoholic. If he just started this and you cant picture it lasting to long or think he can quit ask him and see what happens. Its a touchy subject but I would rather a person I love have a lot of other illnesses then alcoholism its a downright nightmare for those who love them.
