when refering to drugs, what is a bar?!


Question: When refering to drugs, what is a bar?
I need to know what these people i was hanging out were talking about. IS this a measurement and if so what type> should i be worried?

Xanax is the trade name for Alprazolam, which is a benzodiazepine. It's only available by prescription in the US. It's similar to Valium. I'm not really sure what it does, but there's more info here:

A "bar" is a 2 mg Xanax (generic- Alprazolam), another name is a "totem pole." Xanax is prescription, and is a Schedule 2 (I think) Controlled Substance in the US. It is traditionally prescribed for anxiety or panic attacks, etc.

I work in a pain management office.



a bar is a measurement used for the drug zanex ( i think idrk for sure i dont do drugs) and i think its just the shape of i guess 1 dose



2 miligrams of the drug Xanax, not zanex.
