Yes I would think so, but don't know what it would taste like.

You would probably have to extract the grass juice somehow, (like grapes juice) and then add -Yeast and sugar an liquid will make alcohol. As long as it has the right conditions for ferment properly and you have the patience to wait.

Very interesting,

The issue is probably not whether it would be safe, but how much grass you would have to use. Grasses are composed primarily of cellulose, which is why herbivores have such a complex GI system-there isn't a lot of substance there for yeasts to work with. That's why ethanol historically is produced from plant matter high in simple carbs-grain, potatoes, fruit.

|I would imagine so. Most organic compounds when fermented for long periods of time will result in some sort of alcohol. The real question is what do you want the alcohol for because what you produce probably won't be safe to drink.

yes.. it takes a 5qt pail full to make aobut 3 gallons..
5qts grass, fresh.
4 lbs sugar
2 envelopes yeast
3 lemons sliced
3 oranges sliced
4 gallons boiliing water..
this is a basic recipe.. works for dandelions also..

depends on the amount of ferment-able sugar in the plant

I don't think you will find a bacterium or yeast that will produce much IpOH

Sugar cane is a grass. It makes rum.
