What age should you be allowed to drink and drive?!

Question: What age should you be allowed to drink and drive?
I've been a proud and functioning alcoholic for many decades now and wonder at what age should drinking and driving be illegal? I can honestly say that out of my 4 DUIs over the last 10 years, not once would I have not made it to where I was going. I feel after 35 you should be able to take a drunk driving test and if you can drive OK while hammered you get a special license. The only reason they don't do that is so states can make money off innocent people. If I truly did not drive when I was drunk I would spend more money on cab rides than I would the ticket for the DUI. It's a no brainer for me. Anyone else like this idea?

Answers:

its hard to believe that you are still driving legally after 4 duis in the past ten years since no insurance will cover you....

It's the stupidest idea I've ever heard!
Your reaction is totally down when you're drunk, you're a menace to other people on the road. I don't care if one drinks like two beers or so but the reason why they don't let you drive drunk is not because "they want to make money out of innocent people" but to guarantee the road safety. I sincerely hope, with such an attitude, you get hit by a car with a drunk driver!

Brilliant! A drunk Driving test. Nothing could possibly go wrong with that. However the age limit should be 25 instead. While your at it, they should start allowing drivers to drive without seat belts after age 45. I mean come on its not like their going to need it.

I hope this is a joke, otherwise you need to see how many parents, brothers, sisters and friends grieve for the loss of their son or daughter being pinned to a wall dying or their heads so smashed in they're brain damaged. Ignorant fool.

20 YEARS OF COMMON SENSE.

Never there are too many deaths caused by drunk drivers already. If anything we need to set up sobriety points to take people to jail.

Never. You should be imprisoned for such reckless behavior.

And seek help. AA has a good program for guys like us.

I will never suggest to drink and drive becoz both are on different panel.

after u have learned how to poo and went past the teenage stage of constipation

Why don't you run this idea by the whole families who were killed by drunk drivers around your age that have "done it so many times" that they "know what they're doing". Ask the mothers and their young children and babies whether or not they think it's a good idea to let IMPAIRED people behind the wheel, so long as they have "DONE IT SO MANY TIMES".

Oh yeah... you can't....
Because they're dead, you imbecile.

Just because you've never had an accident before, DOES NOT mean it will never happen. Period.
And unless you can predict the future, then this is a moronic, and insensitive question to those families, and children and ANYONE AND EVERYONE who has ever been killed by a drunk driver like you. They are the true innocents here. And you are a selfish idiot.
