Are there brands of new england rum?!

Question: Are there brands of new england rum?
I have always read in history books how New England produced rum, and I have also seen an old tavern drink menu advertising New England rum. I am wondering if there are any brands of rum produced in new England, and how would they differ from their Caribbean counterparts.

As far as I know, there's only one. Rum is made from sugar cane, which is impossible to find in New England unless it's imported

Newport Distilling Company, based in Rhode Island, is the only rum distillery I know of in the Northeast. They use molasses and age the finished rum in American Oak Casks.

I'm not sure about its widespread availability. Even in Boston, which is only about 60 miles away, I've only seen it in about half a dozen liquor stores.
