bread or potato will soak up the alcohol when you start drinking. have a good evening meal a few hours before going out. on my first night i felt hungry after drinking so i bought some chips from a kebab shop lol!

What would most likely make you sick is not what you eat, but drinking too much of too many different kinds of alcohol, especially liquor. When you go out, pick one kind of drink and stick to it, don't let people talk you into trying all different kinds of cocktails and shooters. Just choose one kind. Having something like, say, a vodka drink, then a rum and coke, then a long island ice tea, then a shooter of something else is a sure way to guarantee that you would be worshiping the porcelain god later (aka, barfing your brains out in the toilet). Take it from an older person, this is excellent advice. No one told me this when I was young and new to drinking, and I learned it the hard way.

You should have something to eat first, or else you will get drunk alot faster if your stomach is empty. Just eat a normal meal, something you normally would, it doesn't make a lot of difference what. Make sure you drink plenty of water while you are drinking alcohol, because alcohol naturally dehydrates the body, and it is this lack of hydration that causes nasty hangovers in the morning.

Good luck, have fun, and be smart.

I'm old.

Just eat something that doesn't make you superfull. Just don't think about it too much. When you're drinking just be careful and don't get carried away because there's nothing worse than your first drinking experience gone awry.

The only way to reduce the chance of vomitting the first time you are drunk... drink slowly, and sip water every now and then. Once your drunk, stop drinking... and since being drunk reduces the chances of this train of thought dramatically, just drink SLOWLY. If people get on your case about it just pretend like you're hammered.

It helps to eat something substantial before drinking if you don't want to get sloshed. Bartenders used to keep butter under the bar and would take a little nip of it when customers were buying them shots so they wouldn't end up snockered.

Girls especially shouldn't drink on an empty stomach because they will be out of control on less drinks than men.

You must definitely eat something first, especially since its your first time. Drinking on an empty stomach gets you drunk a lot quicker and you'll feel bad. You should not stuff yourself either. Just eat normally. The best thing I can think of is a burger and chips/fries. Basically something fatty/greasy. It helps your stomach tolerate the alcohol.

Definitely eat before you go. Don't think it really matters what you though I would day nothing to greasy. Here is the key....drink lots of water while you are out. Alcohol dehydrates so you need to drink water. Either in between drinks or have a bottle when ur done drinking this will help to avoid a hangover.

Not an empty stomach, but not like so full you want to nap.

If you eat starchy foods you won't get drunk as quickly because the food in your stomach will absorb the alcohol before your stomach lining has a chance to.

baloney sandwiches with cheese and chips or whatever, a full meal. i like baloney when I'm drunk for some reason

Eat before and after drinking

not to full or u may feel sick after a few. Just have a regular meal an hour b4 hand, enjoy having a few drinks, dnt just knock them back
