while preparing red wine in home, sugar will be mixed with grapes,but for diabetic people it increases blood sugar levels . so can we mix sugar free powder instead of sugar in making red wine?is sugar free powder has capacity to give fermentation?

If your intent is to make wine with alcohol use sugar. The sugar substitutes will not ferment into alcohol. Check your rules for diabetics and alcohol. As it is the alcohol is treated by the body as sugar or in a similar way.



Yeast needs sugar, but most of the sugar is turned into alcohol. Look for recipes to make dry wine.



Sugar free powder gives a funny taste to the wine.It also may not help in proper fermentation.
