Can my mom make me go to rehab for weed?!

Question: Can my mom make me go to rehab for weed?
My mom caught me smoking weed multiple times and she said that if she catches me again, then i will go to rehab. Will a rehab center take me if i only have weed in my system and nothing else? PLUS, i'm not even addicted to weed! i smoke like every 2 or 3 weeks and i go just fine without it, so will they still make me go to rehab if my mom tells them to take me?

Answers:

Yep, weed is a drug and that means its an addiction and rehabs treat addicts. Maybe your mom is going a little over board but if your not addicted then why not just stop then so you can avoid rehab and continue on with your normal weed free life.

I work in a drug/alcohol clinic in the UK and much as I'm against the use of all drugs there is no possible way that a rehab centre would take you even if you are a minor.

First of all weed is not an addictive drug, even though it can lead to metal problems if over used, secondly rehab only works for people who admit they have a problem and want to do something about it, if they don't it just wont work.

All that said you should take your mom's advice, any drugs including alcohol only lead to problems if taken to excess.

If you're under 18, your mom can send you to rehab for just about anything. They will take you as long as your mom is paying, it's just the way it works.

People are really silly about weed, smoking ever 2 or 3 weeks is not being addicted. Technically, weed doesn't have any addictive properties, however it can become a pretty bad habit. It sucks dude, but if you like living with your mom over fending for yourself, you might have to quit. Just wait until your on your own for that kind of stuff.

Weed isn't bad but because of the propaganda and it being illegal they will keep you in rehab. Weed is not addicting so just fake being addicted at first and tough it how for maybe a month.

If Your Under the Age of 18, And You Live With Her, Then Yes, She Can Make You Go to Rehab for it, She's probably concerned about You for Smoking It.

I Hope That I Helped You :P :)

Good Luck

She can especially if you're underaged and/or still living at home.

You betcha!

Edit...I should say, if you are a minor she sure as hell can
an adult, no

absolutely! lay off the pot, it really messing up your brain in the long run.

Just start eating brownies and drink thc soda.. its healthier and your mom won't know. :-)

Talk to your mom about it, show her cannabis is not addictive and it would be a waste of money for here to spend money sending you to rehab for something that is not bad for you. Give her the facts, watch "The Union" read up on medical journals, look at the overwhelming medical research that shows almost 0 negative effects and the multitude of positives. It is hard to convince people who fell for the drug war propaganda without proper proof, but if you go the extra mile it will be worth it. Good people to look up are Fancis Young (former DEA administrative law judge), Lester Grinspoon (Harvard Medical School), and tons of other smart people. The negative effects of cannabis are greatly skewed by the government to keep the drug war going. Its based on subjective evidence and even completely made up data.

Also it is ridiculous that we do not use hemp, industrial hemp has no thc and could single-handedly change so much for the better.

"Hemp is of first necessity to the wealth & protection of the country." -Thomas jefferson
"Make the most you can of the Indian Hemp seed and sow it everywhere."
-George Washington
"We shall, by and by, want a world of hemp more for our own consumption."
-John Adams
"Why use up the forests which were centuries in the making and the mines which required ages to lay down, if we can get the equivalent of forest and mineral products in the annual growth of the hemp fields?" -Henry Ford
